I am going to install a glass mount dual-band gain cell phone antenna on the rear quarter window as part of the Nokia cell phone car kit.
The info I have seen from the antenna manufacturers is that some newer vehicle are manufactured with UV resistant or passivated glass containing metal flakes which destroy the capacitative function of the on-glass coupler. They advise that words such as "solar", "soft-ray", "EZE-Cool", Solar-Coat", "Solar-Cool". "Insta-Clear (Fords)" probably indicate passivated glass.
Anyone have experience with an on-glass install on the side windows? |
