Hi, all.
Well, I'll go against my own advice and will start a new thread discussing the motion sickness. The previous one from about a month ago was too old and involved kenkneeb. :)
(No need to resurect that one...)
My sincere thanks go to DMor for her advice.
ReliefBand Adventurer is a great device!!! Aside from a little stinging one would feel on his/her wrist, no nausea is present! (Again, that's what my wife and mother-in-law said. I, thankfully, do not need one).
SharperImage.com auction site has them periodically starting at $60. (retail is usually $120+)
(Tim, are you planning to sell this one??? PDFs are already available on the net :))
I just wish THE THUD was as easy to get rid of. Replacing both front struts DID NOT fully fix it. Although much better, the noise is still there :( :( :(

'splain to me, what is it and what's it do? If it's for motion sickness, I might be able to use it. My equilibrium was a bit damaged on a ride that looked like a big roulette wheel some 10 years ago, and since I have a bit of discomfort riding in the back seat of anything (fortunately that's the worst of it).
Be interested to know more. |

Tim, check this site out. I think they are the inventors of that product. http://www.ewoodside.com/
I am using the first one - re-usable Adventurer (with green and black dial)
It (and numerous disposable siblings) is sold all over the net for $100-150. The lowest price I was able to see was on the SharperImage Auction site - starting at about $60. The problem - limited quantities available for sale, occurs maybe once a week, and many people (especially now with summer approaching) are bidding and driving the price up.
The only discomfort my family members who used it felt was a little stinging (or tinkering) on the wrist. I guess it is on the level of testing a weak 9V battery with your tongue. :)
I mentioned your name in the post above only because the previous thread named "Motion Sickness" (from about a month ago) jokingly mentioned an anti-vomit accessory for the MDX. :)
You are THE accessories man! Hence, your name came up. Sorry. :) |

| No apology necessary, I'm very glad you did mention it! This is something I could use. Gonna check it out. Seven years as a part-time taxi driver hasn't helped my queaziness any, so maybe this is the ticket. |

Tim...let me know if you need any Sharper Image Auction survival tactics. VIP9 was my first student and I still have the lesson plan in my email. :D I'm glad they work for you, IP.
These work remarkably well. We use them on the boat for those prone to sea sickness. I wore one for a few minutes to test the *ping* and it's pretty minimal and certainly better than the alternative. ;) |
