| I've grouped the choices, so just pick the one group that best describes what you like LEAST about your MDX. |

From the choices on your list I had to pick "nothing".
However, my only real two gripes about the MDX are:
1. Limited adjustability on the steering wheel. Would like it to telescope and tilt.
2. Navigation non-upgrade with virtually no communication from Acura on the reasons for the delay. |

I also picked nothing - but my real complaint is it's very noisy at highway speeds for a luxury vehicle. My Lexus is extremely quiet. I just finished a 2000 mile round trip & am seriously considering never taking it on an extended trip again based on all the freeway noise. |

Well I do agree with texrb that the noise is a bit much. We obviously disagree on "what this means":
I categorized this as "ride/comfort" as I find the noise uncomfortable.
I don't understand how texrb could pick "nothing" if the noise is so bothersome that he would hesitate taking the X on a long freeway trip  |

I've only found my 03 to be noisy on one stretch of road, which was very coarse pavement and there was a stiff sidewind. Other than that, it's been surprisingly quiet - almost as quiet as my neighbor's RX300 (the RX300 has a bit more engine noise, a bit more tire rumble and a bit less wind noise).
The RX330 seemed quieter...but to experience the quiet, you have to drive it, and, yes, go around corners :) |

Quality.
Fit and finish are great but the leather is fair at best with lots of vinyl on sides, backs and even the entire third row. Where there is leather it seems only mediocre. Plastic wood look is also pretty lame.
The Nav, radio, and ac system are nice but lack refinement and true integration. |

| Gotta agree, Quality. Especially on interior surfaces. |

| Audio electronics and inside vinyl and leather are crap for the price point of the vehicle. Exterior paint is just passable, coverage is good, but finish should have higher gloss, less orange peel. |

| Brake clunk and tank slosh, other than that just about perfect. |

| My biggest Pet Peeve, coming from a former Honda Civic owner (wifes old car, before marriage  ), is the interior of X uses the same as the Hondas, the turn signal, the wiper, buttons, etc.....kinda makes cheap.... |

| Wind Noise and Tire/Road Noise (since these were not an option I did not vote - I have no complaints in the chioce areas; but it is not perfect). |

srpbrp I picked "nothing" on the poll since I "noise level" wasn't an option. I have no complaints with noise level driving on city streets, but the tire noise on the freeway (unless it's blacktop) is very loud - especially driving 500+ miles in a day.
I also have no other complaints. Actually the seats are more comfortable in the MDX for me than the Lexus - which hurts my back when I take it on long trips. So it's either deal with the noise in the MDX or have a sore back in the Lexus! |

Plus brake click and tranny and p/s coolers not standard and installed at the factory. |

Good idea, but other than obvious model changes, other things like noises will not mean much until the 03 has as many miles on it, or it is not a fair comparison. |

| Ride/comfort = seats. The seat back doesn't adjust to fully vertical. |

I had chosen the "problems" option.
My 'X had just TOO MANY of them. In 2.5 years, it has developed close to a dozen problems. Most were minor and were fixed for free under warranty. Several required prolonged stays and/or multiple visits because they were unable to diagnose/repair/get parts in the timely manner.
Some of you may say that that's why there is warranty in the first place!!! I disagree. IMO, warranty is a manufacturer's way of saying "We guarantee there is nothing wrong with the product". It should not mean - "Do not worry, it will not cost you anything to fix all the various problems that will occur"
I can live with break clicking, gas tank sloshing and even with the highway wind noise and fake wood, but I find the quality of this car UNACCEPTABLE. |

| I like to see the MDX with wider and larger wheels similar to the X5. I think it will handsomely go well with the handsome design of the vehicle. |

I agree, those should be service agreements and is what the extended warranty should really be called. |

Some times I wonder how these vehicles can come off the same assembly line. I've tried hard to find problems , usually when I read about them here, and can't find a single problem. I did have the gauge lens replaced under warranty but that was scratched during PDI and not assembly.
I think some, obviously not all of it, has to do with expectations. I don't consider the MDX a "luxury" vehicle and probably expect less than others in terms of materials etc. I bought the X because of its value and realize there's no free ride, to get value there are compromises. Where I live you can't buy a competitive SUV for the price of the X. That said, I agree the vehicle should be trouble-free and perform as expected. |
