The sky was relatively overcast, which was great for applying the Zaino but not-so-great for taking pictures. These pictures were taken after I used the clay bar, Z7 wash, Z1 polish prep., Z5 swirl remover/polish, and Z6 polish. Just before that I installed the fender flares, and sunroof deflector. Lets just say I got to spend quite a bit of quality time with my MDX this past weekend.

Looks sweet. Did you have dealer-installed swirls beforehand? How'd the Z5 work on those? I imagine you're going to do a coat or two more of that or Z2?
Are you happy so far? Did you notice a difference?
Of course, none of this matters to me anymore -- my $80+ shipment of Zaino arrived via UPS today -- so I'm committed :)
Pics this weekend... |

Hi Worm
So far I've had them apply 3 coats of Z-5 to my MDX and there's no sign of my dealer installed swirls (liked that :))... If it doesn't rain tomorrow, I'm having them do two coats of Z-2...
I'll post pics in the next week.
Regards.

Thanks Worm. Yes, the one option I got for free from the dealer was a set of OEM paint swirls. I didn't have very many and the Z5 did seem to make them less noticeable. I ran out of good towels while Z6'ing and I think I put in a few more swirls using the cheap stuff. I'm going to put on at least one and possibly two more coats of Z5 and then switch to Z2.
Today, I noticed my car was a bit dirty from some light sprinkles we had yesterday, so I dusted it off with my "california duster" and gave it a quick once-over with Z6 and it looks like I finished washing and polishing it. I've been happy so far with the Zaino. Once you get over your natural instinct to apply way too much, the stuff goes on and comes off sooooo easily.
Are you going to Z6 your windows? I did all of mine except for the front.

| Looks great, I can't wait to do mine. Did you also do the rims with Zaino? |
|
|
|
| Yes, I did the rims. My local Zaino dealer told me that he not only does the rims, but he takes the wheels off and does the inside of the wheels too. Wow, and I thought I was anal. |

I wasn't planning on doing the glass, but might give it a shot.
I'm told that if you Zaino the rims, the brake dust pretty much just rinses off.
Can't wait for the weekend. For those married guys, what'd you have your wife do while toiling in the driveway for hours on end? I need an alternative rather than "go shopping" -- else the $80 for Zaino will quickly multiply :) |

Looks fantastic!! I can't wait to get the time to start the process on mine.
Thanks for the pics. |

Worm,
That is easy! Have them Zaino the other car. That is my plan. I always get asked to help with her projects when I am home so I have asked her to Zaino w/ me. We are doing both vehicles at the same time.
Cost you a little more in zaino products, but it should help your other car too.
