This MDX features an enlarged grille and slightly raised hood to cool the twin-turbocharged 3.5L that cranks out an unbelievable 395hp! Other impressive features include a compact, trouble-free cvt transmission with sport shift, carbon fiber body cladding, light weight titanium rims with run flat tires eliminating the need and extra weight of a spare, removable 3rd row of seats, and side-curtian airbags. The trademark grille wing and all other unnecessary ornamentation have been eliminated giving it a more serious appearance. Overall weight has been reduced 500+lbs over the base 2003 mdx allowing the X to maintain its frugile 23mpg during highway driving despite the eXtra power on tap. The MDX-S is rumored to be released fall of 2004 sporting a window sticker in the $70,000 neighborhood.
I think the price is good considering other competitors in its class. Hopefully some of the features will trickle down to the base MDX. |

| This appears to be someone's vivid imagination. Can't say much for the new (photoshop?) body and to justify $70k will take a lot more "upgrading" than what's on this list. Might want to compare it to the new Range Rover to see what you get there for $70k. |

| I think $70,000 is a great deal considering all the unique features showcased on the MDX-S. The Rover doesn't have a twin-turbo 395hp v6 or get anywhere near reasonable gas mileage. The price isn't written in stone yet, merely numbers thrown out for reaction I'm guessing, but $70,000 seems like a good deal to me considering the twin-turbo porsce suv is more expensive with fewer standard features and less interior space. It seems like Acura is serious about this concept because there is an S-type for most of the Acura lineup. |

| Will all of them sport the "MANUS" logo behind the backseat door or is this an option?:D |

You people aren't easy to fool. How big is your screen to see such a small detail? |

| Another little clue is that the altered picture is lifted right from the 2003 sales brochure. If this really was a new model you would think Acura would spring for the cost of a new photo layout and not just alter an existing one. Maybe a different colored car in a new location perhaps? |

| Has anyone else made a protype of the X? |

That is very weird...
I dont think Acura will ever have turbos or S/C's. |

| Come to think of it, for $70K I'd rather get the Cayenne. |

Comptech makes a supercharger for the Acura CL. Lots of companys make turbos for the Hondas and Integras.
I would take an FX45 or Lexus GX w/ TRD Turbo over the Cayene. Have you ever seen how ugly the Cayene is in person. From the front it looks like a boxter with body kit on a lift. From the back it looks like a hurse. |

People aren't ready for the MDX-S, it's design is too ahead of its time. |

First Cayenne I saw was in West Palm Beach at CityPlace and I thought to myself "how strage that a Hyundai owner would have their car valet parked." Then, I saw the Porsche symbol on the back. I've never been the same since that happened all those months ago... |
