What is your favorites?
*this poll may have been conducted before
Acura The entry-level luxury brand. Interiors not the best, not the most stylish but the leader in value. Fair range of cars. Excellent mid-size SUV, compact sedan, sport sedan. Flagship not so good. Only Japanese company to offer a supercar. No RWD sedans or eight cylinder engines.
Lexus The most boring but the most successful Japanese luxury brand. Wide range of vehicles. Excellent flagship, Compact SUV. Not-so-good mid-size sedan. Average entry-level sport sedan, mid-size and full-size SUV's. Largest range of any Japanese brand.
Infiniti Good engines, bold styling. Interiors still entry-level, excellent compact SUV, sport sedan. Mid-size and flagship sedans average. Mid-size SUV OK.
BMW Wide range of vehicles. Bangle designs are love-it or hate-it. Excellent engines. First-class interiors. The ultimate driving machine. Good wagons. Good flagship, SUV. Excellent entry-level and mid-size.
Audi Excellent range. My personal favorite. Not as large selection as Lexus, BMW and Mercedes and lacks a true SUV. Excellent entry-level and mid-size. Stylish range. Good high-performance divisions. Excellent flagship and SUW. Good roadster. Nice compact hatchback. First-class interiors.
Jaguar OK range. X-type not so good, S-type average and new XJ and XKR good. Nice range of V8s. Nice S/C. Average interiors. No SUV.
Mercedes-Benz Wide range. Good entry-level, excellent mid-size, good flagship. Good wagons. Mid-size SUV OK, Full-size SUV OK. Excellent coupes and convertibles. First-class interiors. AMG division brilliant.
Saab Another entry-level brand. Small range of two vehicles. Entry-level good, mid-size average.
Volvo Entry-level average, mid-size good, flagship OK, excellent wagons and SUV.
Ultra Luxury:
Rolls-Royce Amazing new Phantom, but alot of German influence. First-class interiors.
Bentley Arnage beautiful, Continental too Volkswagenish. First-class interiors.
Maybach Amazing first-class interiors, ugly exteriors. |

Acura: Honda gone more upscale. No problem with that concept at all. I'd like to see what they could do with some ultra-luxury models in addition to the current line. Something to really rival Lexus for total luxury.
Lexus: #1 in oh so many ways. Sure, the styling is a bit unadventurous (LS, GS) or strange (RX 330) in some models, but in most other ways this is what luxury vehicles are supposed to be. Bullet proof reliability and sumptuous to the senses.
Infiniti: G35 is a top choice. Others miss the mark. Interiors seriously lacking in all models. I really want to like Infiniti's but somehow just can't.
BMW: Wonderful to drive. Bangle designs painful on the eyes. No more lust in my heart for these anymore.
Audi: Pricey VWs that depreciate way too fast. Love the quattro though. And the S versions. And the styling. Who am I kidding, I really do like them.
Jaguar: So sexy, I wish I could fit into one (excepting the X series which misses the mark entirely). BYO mechanic.
Mercedes-Benz: Former king of the hill, but they seem to have fired the quality control department in order to hire some brilliant designers. Beautiful machines plagued by a plethora of problems.
Saab: Formerly brilliant, but getting to be just another GM clone. How sad.
Volvo: Swedish Fords. (Fjords?) :)
Ultra Luxury:
Rolls-Royce: A bit too obvious and ostentatious
Bentley: Faster version of above
Maybach: Fugly, but oddly alluring |

| Bangle designs from BMW? What does "bangle" mean in conjunction with their cars? |

| Until I've owned all the 'marques' I can not fairly judge. Like anything else, Im sure they each have their pluses and minuses. |

Chris Bangle is the name of BMW's current designer, famous/infamous for his controversial "flame surface" designs. I appreciate those who take chances with new ideas, but I'm not a fan of his new look for BMW. |

I think Blackura's summary is accurate.
