| I recently purchased the new 30GB Ipod and absolutely love it. Now I am now trying to find someway to mount it in my MDX to make it easier to use while driving. I'd really like to have it up on the dash next to the navi screen. Has anyone found anything that works really good? |

Try this link below. There are a few options to pick from. Maybe one of them will work for you.

| Here's the TuneDok Car Holder for all iPods, as featured in the Pods unite campaign for Apple and Volkswagen. I don't have one, but it provides a large and small rubber base and adapter cup are for exact fit and stability in a car's cup holder. |

I'm interested in a holder, too. But how are you connecting your iPod to the stereo? I have an iTrip, which works well, but I also tried a cassette adapter from Radio Shack with no luck at all. The tape deck constantly switches from side 1 to side 2 when the adapter is engaged. Maybe another adapter would work without this defect.
I have my pod in an iSkin and with the iTrip installed, the pod fits solidly with its base on the chrome trim in front of the shifter and the iTrip leaned against the dash above the storage compartment. This helps keep the iTrip solidly plugged and the viewing angle for the screen is pretty good, too.
In town, this works well, but on road trips, it's difficult to keep selecting new channels for the iTrip. |

TuneDok seems to be missing from the Belkin website, but I think this is a photo of it. A $30 suction cup (AirGrip) that fits in your cupholder.
$50 for the power plug?

I currently am using a cassette adapter I purchased from Walmart (not sure of the brand). The cassette adapter is plugged directly into the output on the Belkin power adapter (which is plugged in the center console power source) and the power adapter is plugged into my Ipod. The Ipod is currently sitting on the top tray of the center console. In order to use it all I have to do is open the center console. Works great and all the cords are hidden except for the small cord from the cassette adapter.
No problems with the cassette adapter. I first tried the Belkin FM modulator and thought the quality of the sound was horrible. The cassette adapter sounds much better - probably as good as cd's. |
