The MDX and I spent a week at Scout camp two weeks ago and we got real muddy. I got to shower every day but the poor car did not get a bath until we got home. My son thought he was doing me a favor and took it through a local car wash and treated it to the full package. The MDX came out looking much better than when it went in... But the job was not up to the MDX-owner-hooked-on-Zaino standard AND who knows what products they put on it! Now, from the adventures of this past weekend, I have a ton of bug juice and bug parts all over the font of my car.
I'll have time tomorrow to give it a bath, but that won't get the bug parts off.
I am thinking that it is time for some DAWN, then some claybar... I have five Z2 coats on under the car wash products and the bugs.
Please advise on how to proceed - I need to get the bugs off, get the car wash products off and then do some Z5.
As always - thanks to all of you out there that make this site wonderful place to visit. |

Soak it well with water numerous times and try to wash them off with Z7. You will probably not have to use the Dawn and Clay. I'm always amazed how well the bugs rinse off with a Zaino'ed vehicle. Most of them just rinse away and those that don't wash off real easy.
The Z7 will probably wash away most of the car wash wax also. If you do find it necessary to Dawn you will wash off most of those 5 coats of Z2. With a Z6 buff after the Z7 you will most likely be ready for the Z5. |

| Took my "X" to Scout camp near Yosemite last summer and got my only scratches on my doors when I attempted to test the off-road capability of the vehicle in the forest... However, I would have never trusted my own (Eagle Scout) son to drive my "X" to the carwash - I remember too well what I use to do with my father's car when I use to volunteer to take it to the carwash as a kid. :D |

| If necessary, you can use the clay bar to remove the excess bug stuff. As BaldEagle said, I would wash with Z7, try a strong mix on the bugs, then I would re-Zaino (Z5) the previously buged areas, and Z6 the entire X. Take a good look at it and determine for yourself if further care is needed. Dawn wash would be my last resort. |

| Thank you. I was never sure how Zaino would be affected by other soaps. Seems strange to be looking forward to washing a car. But I can't wait to get my X back into shape:) |
