Hi all,
I got my first supply of Zaino stuff a couple of weeks ago.
I still haven't used it on my X.
But I checked out the clay bar on my newly acquired 1999 3.2TL White. It had all sorts of debris, including rusts from the brakes(???) or something like that, and let me tell you, the thing is just plain awesome.
It's addicting.
I was out there for like 2 and a half hours caly baring the thing...I still have the sides to do...but my hood and trunk area, my goodness, it is spotless.
I'm going to do the rest on the weekend.
I didn't use Dawn before hand, but I think I will afterwards. Then I will inspect the surface one more time to see if I missed anything with the super clay!
Then onto the Zaino process.
It's supposed to rain all next week, but I think I'll do it anyways. |

IMO, I really don't think Dawning your car is necessary if you are claying the surface. |

But it's a nice way to clean away any residue before you lay down that first Zaino coat. |

Hi BklynMDX:
___Have you ever washed your hair after a long day on the other side of a shovel or pick ax? Do you remember how much better and cleaner it felt after you washed it the second time … There is a point of diminishing returns of course but think about what your X is exposed to in its daily travels.
___When I Zaino’ed the X, I Dawn washed, Claybar/Z7 mix, and hit it again w/ a complete fresh wash of Z7. The final fresh Z7 wash solution was still slightly discolored even after all that!
___Good Luck
