The web page isn't for a head unit, it is a cartridge based mp3 unit.
This is the Acura compatible unit:
The link you have is to the existing head units showing how to control the PhatNoise player.
Here is the documentation on for the Acura compatible unit.

I don't get it....
In any case has anyone tried one of these? Looks cool and the controls seem to be well integrated. It is a bit pricey though $900 for 20meg? |

Warzau, how's the panasonic unit? Is it good? I was considering it since cartoys has it on sale for <$1000. Do you have an installed pic that you can show me?

I will do some new updates. But in the meantime here is my first thread. It has entertained my baby girl. She always want to watch a movie. http://www.acuramdx.org/forums/show...light=panasonic |

I was looking at the Alpine HDA-5460, which retails for around a grand and only holds 16GB. Compared to the Alpine, 20GB for $859, 40GB for $958 or 60GB for $1,058 seems like a good deal to me.

The Alpine is a complete head unit with Display, CD player, Preamp, etc.
Without those features the phatnoise should be a little cheaper.
After all it really isn't that much different than the 20Gig Archos Jukebox which is $199

I would be willing to pay a couple hundred for the tight integration features or about $400 for the PhatNoise, but $700 extra just for the ability to control through the stereo? |
