HeYy, I juss took about 20 new pics of my MDX and I wanted to upload it to my gallery. I have a problem tho..
My original pixel size was 1632x1224 so I lowered it to 800x600. The files were around 500k each and i compressed it to about 330k. It said the limit is 250k..I lowered my pixel rate to about 500x400 and its still 322k!
I dont know what to do. If I convert it to a GIF file, it loses ALL picture quality.
Does anyone know what I should do??thanx-BJ |

What software are you using to manipulate the images? You should be able to significantly affect the size of the final file without losing image size by saving at a lower quality. It might be expressed as a % in your application. |

Nevermind, i fixed it, thanks anyway.
Does anyone know where I could download a program where I can change the file to exactly to the pixel rate I want it (ex. 800x600 or 1024x768)? A simple program that I can download for free?

Recently, I've used Photoshop and this sequence:
a) Change resoution to 300dpi
b) Reduce image to 640x480.
c) Save as jpg, image option set at file size 6.
This normally result in a <100K file of adequate quality for this board.
I'm sure others can explain it better, but this works for me. |
