First of all I totally love my new 2003 MDX!!! I love my color (midnite blue)! So here are some of my first driving impressions while i'm racking up miles during my break in period.
1. It is very quiet. This is the most quiestest car i have ever driven.
2. I wish the car could remember the previous a/c settings.
3. The power is great. i havent floored it yet but i can tell that the engine is powerful to pass easily on highway.
4. I filled it with 87 octane and had no problems.
Now some questions:
1. I know everyone raves about zaino but it that the best protection for our cars??? i know zaino gives it a great shine but what about protecting the paint??? and if i go zaino, when do i start the process??? And my dealer said not to wax the clear bra???
2. Would a full size spare be worth getting???
3. Anyone put that plastic bug/rock shield on their hood and how effective is it???
Hmm.. thats about it. See you on the road.
:D :D :D |

| Welcome and congrats! Full Service spare is a must in my opinion. Not sure why your a/c setting don't remain where you left them. On my '02 w/o Navi they do. Zaino is great, I have used it for years and you can put it on your X today and should be able to go over the clear bra w/o any problems. Don't forget to order all of your accessories from Tim at: http://www.hondacuraworld.com/ You can't beat his prices or level of service! |

1. Don't know
2. YES. Especially if you ever plan to go on a long trip or off-road.
3. I have it. It does give protection on the hood. I don't see any new chip/ding on the hood since I put it on. |

| Especially if you use the X for trips and/or drive at night a lot. Use Search to dig up relevant threads but the cost should be no more than $350 (OEM rims). |

What I've seen on cars with the clear bra is a white line where the bra ends. It's built up wax and crud that just settles there, and it can be pretty noticeable on dark cars (especially if you are fanatical about waxing.) So that may be why the dealer warned you. (I'm sure that someone who actually has the clear bra can comment on this... I don't have it.) |

Maybe i should clear up the a/c thing. I always shut off the a/c before i turn the car off. Even though my dealer said it doesnt harm the a/c unit to leave it on. So when i start the car up again, i hit the auto button while the navi thing goes through its set up. I guess that would erase the previous settings right???
And you guys have convinced me on the full size spare.
And yes the clear bra does leave a little line of wax. I think a little q-tip shoudld clear it up |

That would do it.
Why turn it off at all?
I just leave mine on "Full Auto" 72 all the time and it works great. |

When I turn my AC to auto after having it turned off it reverts to the last auto setting I had it on. |
