Does anyone know how Acura dealers come up with the price for costco members? Anyone have any idea what that is in So. Cal?

Thanks
looking to buy an 03 before the 04s arrive.

In the Bay Area, its 3k over invoice.

About 10 months ago I saw an MDX at Costco in Medford, Oregon for $2500 over MSRP. A sign in the window said Costco members could get it for less. I should hope so. The Acura dealer 20 miles from Costco in Ashland was selling them for MSRP?

I had one person at Costco tell me when I was shopping for the MDX, that the best deals they have are on domestics. I told him that's always the case, Costco or no Costco.

When I was shopping back in 2001, it was automatic $300 off and no processing fee for costco member. The deposit was put down on August 7, 2001 and car is delivered on March 1, 2002.

For the rigid "always MSRP policy" on MDX's in 2001 and 2002, that was a 'deal'. Today it would be nothing, unless Costco is taking off a lot more.

Which costco are you talking about and how much below MSRP.
I tried to get an MDX through Costco in the bay area but i was told that MDX was not available through the costco connection.

I went to the Costco website and registered. Oakland Acura called me and wanted to show me the price. I needed to go in with my membership card for confirmation. The 03 Tour/Navi/RES was 1200 under MSRP. Deal was sealed. You may be able to get that without Costco affiliation, but it was hassle free.

A great deal considering you don't have to work with dealerships on eeking out a bargain. That alone is worth something.

You can get 1500$ below MSRP from Oakland even without Costco plus accessories at cost but the thought of missing out on the 2004 changes for 1500$ is making me lean towards waiting a month for 2004.

DaleB,

I agreed with you. In addition, I was surprised the wheel lock and BSM were installed without my request.
