In yesterday's USA today there's an article on the true cost of ownership very favorable to Honda. While Acura isn't specificaly mentioned I would assume it would apply to their products as well. The Pilot and CRV are specificaly mentioned as examples.
"Honda creams its competition for value"
I don't know how to post links but this may work http://money.usatoday.com
The title of the article is "On cars, big rebates aren't always big savings" |

Interesting post, but I question its validity:
Here is direct quote:
• Taurus drops $14,471 of its value over three years, and will typically cost the owner $5,753 in maintenance. The Accord loses $11,691 in value and will cost an average of $3,682 to maintain.
Since both the Taurus and Honda come with 36,000 mile/3 year bumper to bumper protection, I can not imagine maintenance cost for three years being what the article said.
For the poster who cannot find the article, click the link and then scroll down.

Just guessing, but that might be a typo. The example just before it in the article makes reference to 5 years. |

Hi All:
___As far as Maintenance costs, they are probably considering O&M which includes fuel, oil changes, 7.5K, 15K, 22.5K service visits etc. which would make sense …
___As far as TCO for the X … A $40,000 vehicle that drops to 59% of MSRP or whatever that magic number was after 4 or 5 years? You will only lose $16,000 + the Acura regular maintenance charges … If I only lose $16,000, I would be very happy indeed given the Taurus lost almost as much in its 3 or 5 years?
___Good Luck
