hmm....
I brought it into the dealer today for my first (7500) mile service..
The service people were all going crazy about my rims..
I told them to only give me the oil change and no tire rotation/car wash...
I start driving home and the steering wheel starts rattling and shaking... I called service the minute I got home and they are now blaming it on my rims? I've drove over 200 miles with the rims with NO problem until I brought it into service... any ideas or tips on what I can do.. cause they are probalby gonna charge me a arm and a leg.
I suspect they took my rims off to have a closer look..... |

| they probably rotated the tires. If your front tires were balanced well and the rears were not so balanced, well you know, thats why you asked them not to rotate the tires in the first place. How bad and at what speed does it shimmy? I had this annoying shimmy at 70 mph - 80 mph and they did a freebie on the front two (which did the trick) since I reported the problem with only 3k on the car. |

That is true they probably rotated and maybe even rebalanced the tires. First make sure the rims were put on right and not crooked, sometimes I've seen when custom wheels are put on qucikly with air guns and not hand tightened the wheel can be crooked. Second probably have all four wheels balanced again. Check for broken tread or steel in tire, could of been on back and didn't feel till it was rotated up front. Hopefully that will solve the problem.
Good Luck. |

| Yes, sounds to me like the tires were altered in some manner. After a close inspection of the rims, you should be able to tell if they removed them, or rebalanced them. |

Arg.... I inspected all the tires and they DID remove the front right hand side...... grimey.
I am bringing it back to the rim shop to ask them to rebalance/mount the rims due to the grimey idiots at Park Ave. Acura. |
