You got to watch this video. I'm not sure if you watched it already but I did watch half of it in the auto show at the BMW booth. The video is 9 minutes and 4 seconds long but the real video is only about 6 minutes and 30 seconds long. The rest are credits.

I can't remember who but someone on this board owns an M5. One nice ride. I guess C&D did an article with the Benz, BMW and Audi and picked the Audi first followed by BMW and Benz.

Hi All:
___I watched “Ticker” and “Beat the Devil” last night as well as one of my favorites from last year, “Chosen”. I don’t know who Clive is but he is cool in a James Bond’ish sort of way. Is he in anything else of merit?

This is before we had our son. Hmm, joy of my life or bad ass ride. I think I made the right choice. ;)
But wait till I hit sports car menopause...
Anyway, the smarmy salesman almost started hyperventilating when I told him I was an IT consultant. Late 90s being what they were for that industry at the time.
The salesman rode in the back while my wife drove around a bit. Then I got to drive. He made the mistake of saying something like "You can let it out a bit. I assume you drive a bit more aggresively than your wife?" After the nasty smile I got from my wife, I dumped it into second and punched it around the first tight curve we came to.
I got big brownie points for making his head hit the side window. The salesman just laughed it off.
Once we finish the basement, I may still get an MDX. However, the M5 still calls to me. Very impressive car. And isn't the next one going to have almost 500 hp?
I may be tempted to do something very foolish when I turn 40.
Sorry for the long post. Put in a ton of hours this week and I'm getting twitchy. Haven't posted here in awhile either. :D |

Its not a long post; that M5 is crazy! IMO I like the new look of BMW; it's a little less conservative but I like the finally new look.
The 2005 BMW M5 is said to be $78,000 with a 5.5liter naturally aspirated V-10 pumping ATLEAST 500hp. It come out in the fall of 2004 and does 0-60 in 3.9 (Watch out 360 Modena). It will also have an electronically limited top speed of 155mph. WATCH OUT BENZ, there has been RUMORS of a seven-speed gearbox!!
A lot of power for the money :blingblin
...of course, I could only settle for something like a Corvette Z06 or M3 at most.:1pat: |

Ah yes, a very fair competition - a car from 1998 compared to cars that came out this year. Wait until the new M5 comes out and the Benz and audi get left behind. |
