I'm thinking of getting the Draw-Tite hitch (75124) and the transmission cooler (4676). Has anyone tried the cooler from Draw-Tite yet ? I've seen lot of posts on the hitch but none on the cooler.
Thanks,

I think that you will find few (if any) folks that are going to take the time to get at the FRONT of the radiator to self-install any cooler. If you end up going to a dealer to install it, that would eat up the cost savings.
I am quite sure that ANY reasonably well made tranny fluid cooler would "do the trick" -- if you are ambitious & careful the installation should take less than three hours...

| Thanks for the info, renov8r. I have a very good idea what needs to be done. Thanks to all the posts from this site. Now I need to find me some blocks to support the hitch. |

Went to Haul yesterday. Their hitch is $99 + $50 for installation.
They also do the coolers, but did not inquire about the price.
For a $150, this might be a viable alternative to Draw Tite. I think with Draw Tite you have to pay shipping + cost of hitch.
For same price UHaul will install their hitch.
BTW, the UHaul hitch looks very similar to the Draw Tite - might even be the same.
Good Luck,

| For $50, I would just install the hitch yourself, it is very easy and only takes about a 1/2 an hour. |

My point was the hitch is $99 + shipping. For $150 UHaul will install their hitch with their nationwide guarantee.
The cost should be about the same. |

| I found this site www.hitches-forless.com that sells the Draw-Tite hitch for $110 + $48 shipping which is less than Etrailer.com. I guess I'll buy from Uhaul and install it myself. Any idea how many bolts will it require ? Has anyone tried the uhaul hitch with a full size spare ? |

...and you'll find lots of information on trailering, hitches, coolers, etc. including installation notes and comments.
Also note some hitches will work well with a FSS and others won't.
Happy reading. |
