| I had them in the box for 8 months and finally installed them last week. Went on easy. So glad I actually read the instructions and peeled back only a couple of inches as I pressed into place. |

| Another angle. It was dusk when I was shooting so every pic has a slight reddish tinge. |

crmsnidol,
Looks like a nice installation. With all these threads about door dings, let's hope the BSM's will provide some needed protection.:29: |

Good job on your self installed BSM. I have my dealer installed it for me when my X was new.
I still think the BSM location is too high, although the dealer said they installed it in according to the manufacturer's instruction.
I noticed all X's BSMs are at about the same height. When I compared that to the ML's BSM, the X's one is about 4-5 in. higher.
When most passenger car doors are open, their contact points on the X's side fender are below the BSM location.
IMO, the BSM height should be at least 6 inches lower than what is recommended by Acura to provide better and effective side protection.
Does anyone disagree ? |

Nice job crmsnidol!
I'm still debating this accessory. I've heard the TW BSMs may have a tendency to change color over time. Let us know how it goes. |
