What are the worst "senior moments" that you have heard about lately?

Last week, a friend of mine left his car running in his driveway then went on a five-day fishing trip, with other friends, in his 43-foot fishing boat down in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Once on the boat, he shifted into forward but couldn't figure out why the boat wasn't moving. A friend on the boat had to tell him that he forgot to start the engines (twin diesels). Meanwhile the car was still running in his driveway back home. After several days, a neighbor noticed the car running and turned it off (one of those open Jeeps). The gas tank in the Jeep was nearly full when my friend left on his fishing trip, but it was nearly empty when he got back. :19:

The friend who told me what Bob did, ate some dates when he got back from this fishing trip. He had left the dates sitting out on the kitchen table without the lid on the container while he was on the fishing trip. He picked some dates out of the container and topped them into his mouth, then felt something moving in his mouth. He took the dates out of his mouth and discovered that ants were all over them! He forgot to look. :D

I was amazed how long my Trooper ran in the driveway when I left it on to recharge the battery and forgot. The temperature was a little high but I don't think I did too much damage.

I can't beat Ocean's story but I launched my small power boat without putting in the drain plug. The boat sank but it was close enough to shore I could retrieve it easily without much damage.

The day I drove my X home from the dealer I misjudged the size and backed into my garage door crunching it out of shape, the door not the X. :2:

Then there is the case of an 83-year-old lady who came into my office all black, blue and battered up. She told me that she was in the hospital for 3 weeks and just got out. I asked her what happened, and were you in a car accident or the victim of spousal abuse? She said, " oh no, I was shovelling snow off my roof and slipped off."
