I have an '02 MDX and I want Navigation on it. I would trade-in but my MDX already has most of the options I want, and the Aftermarket Rear Entertainment System.
I want to know if anyone knows where I could get a good Navigation system for the MDX, preferably the OEM Acura Navigation if there is any possible way. Does anyone here have an aftermarket Navigation system in their MDX or know where to get one? |

This has been discussed before: over and over and over and over again; there is no practical way to retrofit the OEM Navigation to a non-Navigation MDX.
But there are several very good after-market systems out there..do searches on Navigation.
Plus tons of information on after-market A/V systems. |

| As stated above, this is a topic that has been discussed over and over again. I too was interested in a NAVI for my MDX. I even started a seperate topic on this subject in hopes of finding someone who had put in an aftermarket system. It appears that nobody has done so to this point and if they have, they are not saying. I am still debating whether or not I want to put one in since the areas of space are limited and I do not want start removing original equipment. If you do decide to do this (before me), please post some pics of the install. |

Actually, there a couple of aftermarket Navi installs on here. Sorry I don't have links readily available. Panasonic or Pioneer being the most popular, with Alpine certainly a contender.
Most have gone with protable or semi-portable units such as the Garmin Streetpilot, and various laptop or PDA systems (iPAQ) that have the advantage of going between vehicles too.
If you don't want to remove original equipment, that sounds like your best bet. |

Yea, I'll tell you if I ever decide to add one; I'd really want one on built in. Maybe if they would make a flip-up Navigation I could install in the dash or center console that would be perfect. |

| I do believe that Pioneer has a motorized screen unit that does flip up ! I again would like to see pics of an install of an aftermarket system. I know that someone said that it has been done and pics are available, but I have yet to locate it. If someone has the link, can you please post it. |
