It's clearly in the MDX owner's manual, and the number should have been supplied on a card with the manual. |

Power it on and enter the code with the numbered station selection switches on the front of the radio.
Seems odd the dealer did not do this upon delivery. |

| I've tried that a million times and all it says is error1 then error2 and so on. By the way I bought the mdx damaged and had to get it repaired, not from a dealer but from a used car place. They didnt have the code or the manual |

Until now I did not go back and look at your post about a week ago. Sounds like it's defective. Brilliant observation on my part, I know, but I would not know what else to suggest.
You asked how to enter the code, there is no other way to do it.
If an error it has to be the wrong code or the radio is defective.
Might try calling Acura and ensure the code you got was correct.
Metra now makes stereo radio adapters for the MDX. The point being it would be cheaper to go with a good aftermarket head unit than try to replace the Acura radio, unless a wrecking yard can get a deal on one (that works). |

Ok guys, need help. Had original radio replaced due to issues with CD player changing discs. Dealer gave me new card with antilock codes on it. Had battery go dead on Monday a.m. due to key left in ACC position. Jump started MDX and of course radio asked for code. Entered code off new card per manual, not working. Tried code off old card for grins, not working. Called dealer service dept today and they said try code again; if it doesn't work; disconnect battery and retry.
Is there another solution as I am traveling and doing over phone with spouse who is annoyed with no music and is tired of singing to herself is no fun at all and she is getting ready to take frustration out on me when I return if radio is not fixed. Not sure she is ready to try disconnecting the battery herself.

Spent today trying to figure how to get the radio to accept the codes I've got - No Luck!
Tried one code till it locked up, waited the hour to reset and tried again - no luck. Disconnected the battery and waited 10 minutes, reconnected and tried again - no luck. Had to enter the Nav code and that worked so know it works. Tried this with both the old and new codes - no luck. Now have an appointment on July 1st to let dealer try but spouse is not happy about no music till then.
Can anybody give me any suggestion that I haven't tried.
I guess I could try to disassemble the dash and check the serial number but I am just not that mechanically adept to give that a shot. Maybe they gave me the wrong card when they replaced the radio. |

Hey Guys!
I feel your pain, Just sent my MDX for some cosmetic work on the rear doors and when I recieved my truck back my Navi & Radiio were not working! For some reason they disconnected my battery! After I got home and went thru my owners package I entered the 4 digit number for the Navi (entered directly onto screen) and then a 5 digit number for the radio (using station preset numbers). On my Anti-Theft ID card it has a serial number for the Navi and a serial number for the radio, I'm sure if you extract these numbers from the units Acura may be able to access the original codes! Good Luck!
P.S. my Navi Code is 8554 and My Radio Code is 25615, Just in case you never know!

Dealer visit last Thursday and following about an hour's worth of jerking around they decided to order a new head unit as no one could get either the two codes I had or a "master" code to work. The "master" was a new one to me, had never heard of it and since I was relying on my spouse to take the MDX in as I was traveling I had to have conversations over the cell phone. Now we get to do another 110 mile trip, one-way, to get it fixed.
Oh well, least it will be done soon enough. |

| Well, the good news is that my LS430 system is working fine -- its just my spouse (her MDX) is starting to drive the kids crazy with her singing. She tends to create new words to songs that she knows the tune of, and sometimes even recreates the tunes too. :D |
