This seems to be a stupid question because no one here has this question before. Anyway, my question is ... "How to remove hood insulator clip?" I tried to turn it and pull it but no luck. Can anyone tell me how to remove it? This is just the first step for the nose mask installation but I am stuck already!! Thanks.

I know this forum has been really helpful but what a suprise there is no body answering. I guess my question is not clear? But anyone who has done the installation of of nose mask should know very well about the "hood insulator clip". Its something need to be removed before the installation of nose mask. There is a hole after revmoval of the clip and the hole will hold the hook of nose mask. Anyone?

Thanks!

Slide a screwdriver under the edge and pop it out. They are a little stubborn and be careful not to scar up the insulation too much if that bothers you.

If the car is pretty new, the plugs are reuseable.

Sorry, but I don't understand what your'e asking here. Can you post a pic of the part you are asking about? I have a nose mask (use lower portion only, have an air deflector on the hood.)
BTW, I'm over in your area quite a bit visiting my son and his wife, maybe we can hook up and you can show me what your'e on about.

As azfansinnc & Jay mentioned, it is stubborn. After your suggestion, I am brave enough to just PULL IT OUT and it popped finally.
greatscot, thank you for your very kind offer. I am glad I finally did something proud..... well at least I feel proud of myself. Thank you all!!

Glad you got it. The clips weren't my problem .. my problem was that it was like putting a diaper on an elephant. I thought it would tear I had to pull it do tight.

FYI - for the clips, I used my trusty door panel remover. It's simply a weed pulling whatzit from ACE, which I took the bench grinder to and made a slot in the end. Works great, and cost about a buck. :D
