does anyone know if there is an aux input on the touring radio. My car should be here in about a week, it is a normal tourning model (no nav, and no dvd).

thanks

You'll just need the blitz adapter

I just bought a 2003 touring edition with Nav & DVD. Is there an easy way I can get a 3.5" input plug up-front? You mention blitz? How can I contact them, what's the part no.? Thanks.

Hi Asn:

___I have read of Premium, Touring, Touring w/ NAVI owners having the AUX input capability by adding a Blitz-Safe Adapter. Unfortunately for me, the Blitz adapter doesn’t work when you own a RES based X unfortunately. I found this out after ordering the Blitz-Safe adapter from Ron before the RES’ head unit was looked at by anyone including himself :(

Being a newbie, I'm afraid I don't understand fully. What's a RES based X? I know RES stands for Radio/Entertainment System but I'm not sure what the X stands for?

With my 2003 Touring with Nav/DVD do you think it would work or are you sure it wouldn't? I guess I can just call BlitzSafe. Their Website doesn't mention anything about the MDX.

I'm somewhat interested in the Navi mod by Sam (the plug 'n play one). I'm also interested in a good way to hook up my iPod which is why I'm looking for a forward aux input. Thanks for any help.

Hi Ssanders:

___First off, welcome to the forums and I hope that you are enjoying your X.

___The X is the MDX. RES is the Rear Entertainment System that comes with the X. Many have installed after market RES units with great success and at a cheaper cost too!

___Lastly, (don’t quote me on this because I don’t own an OEM NAVI) I believe many NAVI owners have successfully installed the Blitz-Safe adapter. It gives you a right and left channel RCA input for an MP3 player or whatever. On the strictly RES based X however, the particular connections on the back of the head unit are missing :( I really needed this for the WithMP3 player on my HP iPAQ PDA which is also my GPS NAVI unit …

___Good Luck
