| I'm wondering how many of you car owners have been in a car accident. I've been in multiple. When I get my RSX I just don't want me or the car to be damaged...I'm posting this since I heard about Captain MDX's Volvo accident... |

Supposedly the average person is involved in an accident every 5 years. That was a number I heard quite a few years back. I'm at one in 30 years. The other guy got a DUI ticket, but somehow it was my fault.
The poll would be better if it was for the the last 10 years, or requested the number of accidents in the last xx years, etc. Some people have more years behind the wheel than others. |

| Been in several over the years. Happy to say none were my fault (touch wood) Last one was a hit and run, the scum rear ended me at a 4-way stop then took off. Luckily enough I was in the Camry and sustained only slight scratches to the rear bumper. |

| It's been many years (over 25) since I have had an accident - but was in 3 prior to that. The worst one was when I was 19 years old & totaled my 69 Nova SS 350. I was stopped at an intersection and when the light turned green I entered the intersection & was broadsided by a 1960 ford falcon (aka tank). I was lucky I wasn't killed. |

| About 10 years ago I was at a red light when a drunk lady (to drunk to stand, I was her third accident, she had two prior hit and runs that night) rear ended me, she was going about 40mph (cop guess). Also about 3 years ago had an Acura Vigor and was rear ended at a stop light, dude was on the cell phone with his wife and turned around yelling at his kids in the back seat, very minor. |

This should be fun (or painful if you're me) ... let's count:
1) Someone pulls out in front of my 83 Yamaha Heritage Special and I get my first taste of concrete.
2) My 86 Chevy Celebrity hydroplanes into a telephone pole and takes out the LR fender.
3) Someone t-boned onto the right door of my 87 GTA and totaled it.
4) Someone backed into my 87 Toyota pickup and tore the RR quarter panel off.
5) I flipped said pickup three times ... that was fun ... actually walked away with nothing more than a bruse where my right arm whacked the wiper switch arm.
6) A rim and tire separated from an 18-wheeler on a curve and basically shaved the left side of my 87 Buick LeSabre off ... I've mentioned this in a couple threads before.
7) In the last 10 miles of a 3500 mile vacation, a drunk driver hits us head on in said Buick and totaled it.
(You getting the idea that the 87 model year was a bad year for me?)
8) Someone pulled out in front of my 90 Yamaha FJ1200 and put me on the pavement ... concrete sampler number two.
(Now a small break)
9) Someone rear ends my 2000 Honda Odyssey ... new rear cover.
10) Someone else backs into my said Odyssey at Home Depot ... another rear cover.
11) Someone, once again, backs into the left sliding door of the Odyssey ... another trip to the body shop.
12) Someone plows into the drivers door our 96 Grand Marquis when on vacation in WV visiting family, torques the frame and totals it.
I fear what’s next. |

| Got rear ended about two months ago... They didn't have insurance. It was just scratch and crease on the rear bumper... $850. |
