6002i is a newer version of the 625i. Kappa is supposedly even better. Pull up a chair and relax, do searches under audio electronics for all these mods. You will be doing a lot of reading. There are several other options besides.
Most will agree just going to the 652i or 6002i is a marked improvment over stock.

I also consider to upgrade to 6002i or kappa. DaleB is right. you have to listen them yourself, since audio things are quite personal. I still can't find a store in my neighborhood can do the audition on these 2 speakers yet. Let me know which speaker you decide to use.
However, I was told that Infinity's speakers tend to on the brighter side. I will be interested if there are any other speakers in the same price range but not so bright.
Anyway, I'll probably go for 6002i if I still can't get a chance to listen them. It's hard to beat that price. Especially, there are so many blessings on it. Moreover, it can be easy to mount on MDX.
Kappa is better than 6002i on most reviews. However, the sensitivity is lower than 6002i. Most people will worry about running them with stock amps. In my experience, if you don't play it too loud, they should be ok. |
