holy shizzzznit, i really dont care about the spinners, but just the way your x is with the chrome itself, and those HIDs, very clean. and
bling.
some people put spinners on there vehicle and i usually say thats so ghetto, but you made the wheels match the car, and kept it classy.

Theres another MDX with spinners?
didnt know that :)
I hardly ever see MDX's with dubs...
asn - The X5 is a lot smoother in acceleration and braking but then again its my sisters so I hardly get to drive it. I definately notice more power in the X5 over the MDX. |

|
|
| gadgetdog |
| How do these spinners work? is there a spring inside that gets twisted when the wheel is moving and it unwinds when the car stops? or does it spin due to momentum? |
|
|
| BLACK-BLING-MDX |
| lol gadget dog... it's from momentum... lol springs... come on u think people will get that complicated? i doubt it... lol... |

the one on river road right? and we kind of chatted for a bit... u asked wut kind of rims I had?
HID conversion ran me $1000 for both LOW & FOGS. the installation was done by my friend and it was free (since I got my fenders and lower trim painted at his shop). |

True... there arent much rims that actually fit the X tho.
anyways, I throw parties. I'm pretty sure you heard about most of them if your from the tri-state area (and korean). ;) |

Parties? What production are you with?
I dont live in that area anymore. I moved down to VA a year and a half ago for work. I go up to visit my friends/family about once a month.
There aren't any tight korean clubs in NY now. Which clubs do you throw parties at? |

Well I had no idea what spinners were when I first saw this thread.
Today as I was driving through a section of Nashville with a higher diversity than where I live I saw my first set. My wife said what the heck are those and I knew because of this thread. :)
Weird! He was sitting at a stop light and the rears were spinning but not the front. When he took off nothing really changed, the fronts sat still and the rears kept spinning.
So how are these supposed to work, more like the back so they spin when still, or more like the front and stay still while driving? |
|
|
| nyc |
Looks like a case of knock-off spinners..
His car was most likely rear-wheel drive thus, causing the rear spinners to spin more than the front. (spins from momentum). |

All teh examples I've seen show that the spinners revolve with the wheel, and then keep spinning when the car stops. |
|
|
| nymdx |
| nyc if i see correctly your spinners are knoc offs also because it looks like the spinning part is far off the actual wheel real spinning wheels not add on sit flush on the rim |
|
|
| nyc |
 I think I would know if front/rear wheel drive matters or not and it does. My front always spins longer than my rear.
Knockoffs.... what I meant by that was there are a few other brands out there that are genuine knockoffs. (not chopper, spintek, oasis).
My spinners (choppers) are an add-on piece (NOT davins >> they cost like $12k for a set). They wouldnt stick out if I got them in 22" because the lip on the Gianelle Oval 6 would be deeper than 2".... but the 22"s grind and I would have had to shave the inside..... |

You could probably put on 22s, but you would have to go with a 295/30-22 tire.. Pirelli makes a Scorpion Zero in that size for about $310 per tire.
Lug pattern is 5x114.3. My offset is 35mm on a 20x8.5 wheel, 295/40-20 tire.

I can clear your corners. THe dubs don't cost 12K more like 6K, 3500 for rims, the spinner 20", 1K off ebay. THe tires probably 1500max. I can also install HID system. |

Right on the money.
I paid $5900 total.
But... I got schemed by somebody on ebay for $3800. He sent me knock-off rim's with a value of $2000 rather than what I paid for. What can I do?????? |

Sort of... But you wouldn't want a first timer clear your head lights. The person I went to did a ton of Audi's and TL/CL's. If they mess up..... then you will damage your headlights > condensation. |
