Hi,
I'm thinking about getting a multi-disk CD changer for our 2003 MDX that has the standard sound system. What are my options?
If I buy the "original" factory one, does it just "plug and play"?
Thanks!

I have a MDX with RES on it's way, it should be here around the 25th of the month. It will have the "factory" cd changer that will work in your car (the one that gets mounted under the seat). I may upgrade it to one that plays MP3's. If I do, and if you are interested, I can/will sell my unit.
Just a FYI...

| the OEM changer is plug and play. You could get the changer from Tim and hondacuraworl.com. IMO, it is better to get a blitzsafe adapter and then get an Alpine Changer that will also play MP3 CDs, more versatility. |

is the base MDX prewired to under the seat? Do you just plug the blitsafe or the acura changer in there? Or do you need to run something to the radio?
thanks

| Sorry to say you will have to remove the radio. go to hondacuraworld.com and select instructions, it will show you a detailed instructions on installing the changer. FYI, the Alpine changer is the same dimension as the OEM so if you go Aftermarket all you need is the CD changer attachement kit. |

Hi,
Thank you all very much for the info! Kishino, the link to the instructions is exactly what I was looking for, thank you! I guess they didn't want to make it TOO easy... I'll weigh my options now that I am better informed!
Regards,
