Less than 4K and I saw a post about scratched pillars from the seat belts, checked mine out and it was all ready ragged!
Several problems
1) The pillar plastic is too soft
2) The seat belt latch is poorly finished and has a VERY sharp edge on the back
I filed off the sharp edge but thought I would try something else.
I used some PlastiDip to coat the back side of the seat belt latch.
In normal use you never know it is there since it is hidden by the belt itself. Hope this helps.
The container says there is a clear available which I would have preferred, but I coudn't find any. My choices were red, yellow, and black.

After dipping.
Note, this product is 100% removable, it takes some tugging, but it all comes off in one piece after it stretches out a bit.
Just don't get any on the belt itself, it doesn't all come out... :( |

| Please let us know if this fixes the problem, maybe we could get a group buy on this stuff if it does! |

Silicone sealant comes in clear - would that be similar enough? It might be a little difficult to do a neat job. It also might tend to "stick" to the belt instead of allowing the latch to slide smoothly. The plasti-dip materials I have seen would do this to a degree also, possibly.
Alternatively, there are solutions such as gluing some cloth, leather or vinyl onto the plastic end of the latch. That might be able to be done so it looks like it belongs there. |

No- the plastic dip goes on smmooooth and well-formed, and it peels off in one piece. Unless you dip the cat. |
