I'd be asking for some pics of the damaged X before even thinking about paypal'ing money if I were you folks.
Trim level? Options? Colors? VIN?
And why is the insurance company not totalling the car and salvaging the remainder itself?
And how could the offending driver have "run" if the damage to X is so extensive that it is being parted out?
And as TCMB is implying here, a minor can't enter into a binding contract, either.
