Now I wish I had waited another 3 months to get the 2004. Well, c'est la vie !!

I don't know what kind of discount you got on your 03, but I picked up my car last week. If I would have waited for an 04 it would have cost me an extra $2900+ The area dealers are not discounting 04's, and some of them are charging over MSRP. It wasn't worth that kind of money to get the 04 to me (although, I wish my car had side airbags)

I assume you're refering to the side curtain airbags, because the 03 has side airbags for the driver and front seat passenger.

yes I am, I guess I should have been more specific, but also assumed everyone knew what I was talking about

Many of the pictures could just be Photoshop'ed to make 'em look more like '04s.... like the one below:

I just saw 04 MDX commercial while watching the Monday Night Football. It was either midnight blue pearl or sage brush pearl.

The more I look at the rear of the '04, the more I think GM. The squared exhaust looks like a Grand AM and all that cladding reminds me of the Avalanche.

Now the interior features like better access to the rear seat would be nice. The new wheels are better than the 03 wheels (kinda look like an Explorer, though). I noticed the '03's didn't last long.

Just my opinion, however.:D

Since my Acura dealership is 5 min walk from where I work, I visited their showroom today, and talked to the sale person about pricing for the remaining '03 stock and the forthcoming '04 model.

They told me the max negotiable discount for the '03 X is $1,000 less than MSRP.

They also said they would add $2,000 above the MSRP for the '04 X which could arrive in late Oct.

In other words, you may save $3,000 by buying the '03 X in stock if you don't mind the new additions for the '04 model. :4:

I've been waiting for months for the '04 model. '03 models were not discounted enough for me to bite.

Just put money down on the next X with Touring & Nav. Should be here by the end of October.

Funny... the dealership didn't even have pricing yet, although it was on the Acura.com website. I had to tell them what the MSRP was... which was what I paid.

I would run, not walk out of that dealership.

I guess it really depends in your location. I offered $40700 to a local dealership for a 2004 Touring/Nav and they accepted it. I just have to put a deposit down for october delivery.

Hi All:

___As far as price is concerned, the 03’s aren’t flying off the lot like in the distant past and the 04’s aren’t offering that much more over the 03’s. Have a little patience and there will be dealers with 18 04 X’s on their lot that will deal just as hard if not harder then on the 03’s. I bet this is the year we start speaking of X’s at amount over invoice instead of amount under MSRP in fact. This should have actually started happening around June of this year and it will continue given the competitive choices available to us ...

___Good Luck
