Try to pay my insurance premium for the next 6 months. And found out that the premium is up about $8. Called GEICO. They said it is because there are too many claims by SUV's. Thus they have to increase the premium of the SUV (mostly for liability). They said some other companies even increased more than $30.

I have Geico, too, just bought an 03, they raised my rate $25.00 over six months, it's in the collision/comprehensive area. Too many accidents, especially here in Vegas, you take your life in your hands every time you drive.

I have Metlife... my insurance dropped about $5 a month with the MDX (previously, I was driving an Integra coupe.) They classify the MDX as... a station wagon!!

Geico just calls the 03 an "MDX AWD". Actually, with all the discounts I get from them what I pay is not too bad even with the increase. My other car is a 93 Camry which I drive to work only, 8 miles each way. Total cost is around $800 every six months for both cars which is very comparable to and cheaper in most cases than a lot of areas in the U.S.

Interesting. My premium (AMEX through COSTCO) went down when I replaced my '93 Intrepid with the X.

I have Allstate and my premium went up a whopping $.80, yes that's 80 cents for 6 months. My wife purchased hers three weeks later and her premium went up $30.00 per 6 months. It seems by me being three years older I fall into a safe driver category. BTW I am 55 and my wife is, well you do the math, I don't want to be guilty of indiscriminate age disclosure.
My previous car was a 02 TL, makes me wonder whether I was overinsured on that or underinsured on the X. Exact same coverage on both vehicles.

Actually, I meant premium of my 03 X went up $8 in September 03 compare to the premium in March 03. It's the same X. Geico told me that they just increase the premium of all SUVs. Maybe this is just regional. Anybody experience the same thing?
