Thinking about the trading in for my 02 MDX.. But I still like the Light blue(I forgot the name) with the dark black interior leather (It rocks).. the New Blue (midnight blue perl) with gray lether looks weird and cheap to me.

Honda discontinued Havasu Blue for the '04 Pilot--guess they did the same for the '04 MDX. |

And... it looks like they discontinued the option of getting the "Saddle" interior with the Midnight Blue Pearl (MBP) with the 04's (at least Quartz is the only choice with MBP on the website).
I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder... I've never been a big fan of the Havasu Blue color (although it is unique). If MBP/Quartz combo had been available with the 03's that's what I'd be driving today. I must say that while I was initially skeptical of the MBP/Saddle combo, I really like it now. I'd have to see the MBP/Quartz combo in person before passing judgment. |

Per the following unscientific poll, and the infrequent sighting of an MDX Havasu Blue color, I would assume the color was dropped due to lower demand for the color in the past few years?
However, that is a bummer for folks that would like to purchase it.

| Havasu Blue is dropped, confirmed from my dealer last Saturday. If the color is not a big seller, Acura drops it. |

| Yes, Havasu Blue was dropped for 2004, it was replaced by the new tan color...of which I'm forgeting the name. It's supposed to be a more golden color than Sandstone. Someone at my dealer compared it to the gold color on the new Camrys???? Haven't seen that color yet, should be interesting though. |

| I have never cared for Havasu so I wont miss it. Too girly/easter egg looking. Great color for a Volkwagon bug but not an MDX |

To each his own, but I like having an X that is not one of the most popular colors. Kinda sets me apart from the crowd! Havasu Blue reminded me of a mood ring the way it changes colors. |

Well, with the increasing number of MDXs on the road these days, the Havasu Blue color definitely stands out.
Plus it gives a different color depending on the angle and the lighting conditions.
Granted that its not a very common color, I am very pleased at my decision to take the HB over the Silver ! |

| I'm not a big fan in HB too but I do like MBP. If MBP has black leather I think it's the best color combo for the X :4: |

___As far as HB being a rather disliked color (I agree with most in that regard), those that own them will more than likely find a problem at resale time.
___In any case, if I were a dealer of any kind and someone were to bring in a HB X for trade, I have the feeling it would be auctioned given it would probably sit on the dealers lot for months and months. I remember reading some time ago about a HB sitting on an Acura lot for an extended period of time even when you couldn’t beg, borrow, or steal an X for anything less than MSRP or worse! No one had them to even test drive but there sat a brand new HB! Anyone that owns one, please read the following statement in regards to your own resale ...
