My blower motor for my rear a/c has gone out. I am not under warr. any more and really don't want to pay the 190.00 that the dealer wants to screw me with:) Does any one know of another place I can buy one? I have called all the "parts yards" in my area ( San Antonio, TX) and no one has any mdx's:) Any info would be helpful:)

You can always buy parts from Tim.

How far past the warranty are you? If you're not too far past, I'd ask a regional/district person from Acura corporate for an accomodation...

I am running on 96,000, so they kind of gave me the cold shoulder:) I did buy a new transister and install it myself as that was needed. Then had problems with the blower motor:) After taking the motor apart, i noticed it had burnt part of the brushes away:)

Whew - 96k! How's it holding up? That's WAY more than most of us inaugural-year peeps have!
Best advice (as above) is to call Tim @ Hondacuraworld -- he'll no doubt be the best parts price you'll find. |

I will give Tim a call tommorrow:) Yes, I do have alot of miles. Bought it in June of 2001:) For the most part it has done very well so far. A couple of minor little things, but nothing serious:) I have taken a few 5 to 6 thousand mile trips with it, and it has done very well. I can say this, I hit a dear on a trip last December at about 85 miles an hour, and the mdx did very well. Even the body shop people were surprised as they told me they have seen many "totaled cars" from a collision like this one:) Any way, thanks for the info people:)
