What does it do??? I heard that you can dust the exterior but what does it lift up???? I only know that you can dust the dust on the dash. Is it good to dust the car in between waxing???

| The one in your picture is their mini duster for the interior. They also sell a larger one for the exterior which can be used between washings to remove dust from the exterior of the car. I've used both for years and am quite happy with them. The key is to having a good coat of wax or Zanio on the exterior so the duster just lifts off the dust. it's not going to help if you're car needs a wash....in that cash all the duster would potentially do is scratch the finish. |

| The larger one and the small one has the same strands so can the small one also do the exterior??? |

| Yes, it will just take you longer to get the job done. Keep in mind that the exterior one tends to get very dirty, not sure I would then want to use it on my interior. They're cheap enough to buy them both. |

I know when I lived in CA that there was always a very light coat of fine dust settling on the car, not enough to wash but enough to be visible, so the CA Duster is meant for a light dust that's not adhered to the finish (or like a light coat of pollen in forested areas).
There are a lot of Duster knock-offs probably with different levels of quality. The original was pricey for basically a mop with a handle, but the strands were supposed to be cotton treated with something like wax to pick up the dust. Who knows what the cheap dusters are made of.
Hammer is right about having a good protective finish in place before you try anything that drags across your clearcoat. |

| Hammer said the exterior one tends to get dirtier than the interior one so if I use the big one on the exterior and the interior will the interior be dirtier instead ????? |

No, the interior wouldn't be dirtier, it would just be harder to maneuver due to the size of the big one. Lots of places sell both of them as a kit, and it's a great investment. |

Do you know anywhere in Vancouver that you can buy both of them at a good price??? I look in Costco but I couldn't find any. I could buy it in Canadian Tire but it cost $15 for the small one (look here) and $25 on the big one (look here) so it cost 40 bucks just to buy two little mobs ???? |

Check out this site, don't know if they ship to Canada, but the set is only $16.95 USD.

| Been using them for years ... bought them both at the local Wal-Mart. I use the large for the cars, and the mini for the bikes. Works quite well ... even after a couple washings ... even though the instructions say wasing will reduce their effectiveness. Just seems at bit, well, odd to keep dusting the vehicles with a duster that has a TON of dust built up in them. |

They work very well, if used regularly right after the vehicle is clean.
I don't use it if there is more than a couple of days dust on the finish.
Knowing when NOT to use them is probably the most important thing. As the name implies, it's a duster, not a cleaner. |

| "If" you are going to get the exterior one . .go the distance - get the Deluxe model with the wooden handle. It is far superior - thicker strands, longer strands. more strands . . all equal better job and less risk . .. its just hard to find in stores, or actually in canada next to impossible . . . you have to go through independant car care distributors to get it . . . expect to pay about $25-30 for the deluxe up here - the basic is $25 at Crappy Tire like you say . . . |
