"acuramdx.org" license plate frames - Click HERE for Original Thread

I tried posting photos of the two "acuramdx.org" license plate frames and my vanity plates yesterday, had a problem, and enlisted A4L's help. I e-mailed him the photos and he was kind enough to post them for me, but they came out in black and white. So I tried adding to the thread he started and was successful in getting the color photos posted. I also added the URLs of the two different outfits who provided the frames. Everything was hunky-dory until I got home from a round of golf an hour ago and read an e-mail from A4L in which he apologized for inadvertently deleting the thread. (Any of this make sense thus far? It's sure giving me a helluva headache!)

In any event, here we go again. This first photo is the front license plate frame with my new vanity plate. The frame came from Auto Tags of Gatlinburg at http://autotagsofgatlinburg.com/

The license plate frame on the back of my MDX (next photo) came from an outfit by the name of Gunther Gifts at http://www.gunthergifts.com/

If this post motivates any of you to purchase your own custom frames, I would recommend Gunther Gifts. The quality is on a par with the other company, the frames were less expensive (about half the cost), and they arrived within a week, as opposed to nearly three weeks for the frames from Auto Tags of Gatlinburg.

If this works, here's the photo of the vanity plate and custom frame on the front of my MDX:

And this is a photo of the rear license plate frame from Gunther Gifts (http://www.gunthergifts.com/)

 I just clicked on the New Thread link and saw that A4L's original thread regarding the license plate frames is still on the board. What happened, Paul? Didn't you say you deleted it? No matter. But I would appreciate it if someone could ship me a case of Advil or Tylenol!
BILMAT, did you say the Gunthergifts were less expensive?
On the autotags site, it looks like they're the inexpensive one. Did you get the black metal or black plastic? What font did you use?

Thanks for the info, the plates look great.

dbastian: You are right; I stand corrected. I just pulled up my invoice from Gunther Gifts and the two license plate frames ("Learn more . . .") were $26.95 each plus shipping and handling, for a total of $63.94. I couldn't find the invoice from Auto Tags, but I'm sure they were significantly less. Quality is similar with both companies. As to the fonts used, the rear frame from Gunther Gifts is sans serif, similar to Helvetica or Geneva, whereas the font used on the front frame from Auto Tags has serifs, such as Bookman and Times. I'm not sure which fonts either of the web sites offer. Hope this helps.
Thanks, I think I'm going to order one now. I don't know where the window sticker thing is at this point, so the license plate thing will have to do.

Thanks again.

Ok...alright....I cleaned up everything.
Bilmat, I do deeply apologize for causing you a headache that is so bad that you need a case of Advil. D*mn !

All better now.
I hope you are not mad at me....:(

I was just trying to help.

Moving on............

GREAT LICENSE PLATES!
Your screen name on top ROCKS !!!!

A4L: Mad? Surely you jest! You've made this board what it is, essentially, the definitive source for information about the Acura MDX as well as a place for owners frustrated with the vehicle's minor (yes, minor) problems to vent! Ya done good, Paul. Keep it up!
