I have an '02 MDX. The driver's side power seat does not retain its programmed position in memory. When I get into the car and push position #1, the seat will move to the correct vertical position but not the horizontal position. The same is true for my wife's position #2. We are taking the car into our "not so technical" service dept. folks for the 30K mile service next week. They will be addressing the seat position problem as well. But I'd like to be armed with some knowledge about what to do about the seat if possible before I go there. Help from anyone would be appreciated. Also, we are experiencing a "shaking" or a "shudderring" at very low rpm (1200-1500). Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance

| I've been noticing thing same issue myself, I thought it was maybe because I'm not using the Acura remote because I have an aftermarket alarm. Whenever I hit the memory it re-adjusts a little bit. |

I have the same problem two times already, I am not sure if this is relating to the remote control the panic button or not. Haven't had time to look over the manual yet. What's the panic button do? Anyone?
Thanks, Wu |

| The panic button is used to get attention; by way of alarm and lights. Pressing this button will sound off the alarm, and have the lights flash. |

I just had a remote starter installed and the only way to make it work is to mess with the alarm system and fool it into thinking it's off when it's still on. This has also impacted the operation of the memory seats -- they still work, but not from the remote. You have to push the buttons. Just wondering if any of you had anything done on the driver's side door.

We had a Clifford alarm installed into our 02 X that included remote starting.
With the Clifford alarm that we have, we loose the capability for the car seat memory to become activated on a disarm.
My older car (Legend) has an older top of the line Clifford (Avantguard 3) that INCLUDES the activation of the memory seat depending on which remote disarms the alarm.
I don't know why Clifford removed this feature in the alarm that is installed in the X...we sure do miss it. |
