Yep, finally did it. Wasn't really in a hurry. Gotta call from my dealer while I was out of town. Told me that the 2004s had arrived or that he had good deals on the 2003s. Hadn't checked this board in a while, but went in to compare the 04 against the 03. Since they had the '03 that I wanted (touring/res), and they were willing to take $3000 off, I went for it. We plan on keeping the vehicle for a long time, so any depreciation that is about to occur is really irrelevant to us. We ended up with a black on black MDX! I will post pics. I wanted to thank everyone on this board for their info. I mostly read, but I did post from time to time. I'll continue to read to glean more info. Right now, I need to start thinking about accessories via HondaAcuraWorld. Most of our driving will be family driving in an urban area, but we do make several trips per year from Whistler, BC down to the SD area and many places in between. We also anticipate hitting the Cascades and Sierras quite a bit this winter. I am wondering if I need any special tires or traction devices to go up about 5000 to 7000 feet up the mountain. Other than that, any ideas are welcome. Thanks.

X5 didn't offer me enough practicality and overall value. Good vehicle, just not enough of what we were looking for. We would have been disappointed in the end, at least with the practical features. We really like the MDX so far. Only one negative comment from a family member, but I expect that from him! :3: |
