| Anyone have this problem? 03 Navi gives message i.e. (read error - see your dealer). This happens immediately after the map goes black. Turning the key off and then on again does not solve problem. About two hours later system comes back on and stays for 20/30 minutes then repeats error. Taking out disk and cleaning does not help. Dealer is also no help. |

Obviously defective. It could still be the disk, see if they will swap that first. If not they should do an R&R, it's unlikely it's repairable at the dealership.
Under warranty? They have to fix it!!
Actually, I had the identical error when first picking up my X, and wiping the disk fixed it ever since. That was 18 months ago. And the thanks goes to someone I never see on the forum anymore who suggested it..forgot his handle! |

| I had some problems with the navi a few months ago and my dealer replaced it without me even suggesting it. Of course when I brought it in for them to see, it seemed fine but they ordered a new one anyway and as I was driving out-the navi froze. Be tough and don't take any BS from the dealer or Acura directly. You paid enough for the damn thing-it should work! |

| I noticed you are from GA. If you are near Atlanta, Baranco seems to be more than happy to do warranty work. The TLC the techs give your vehicle could be better, however. BTW, every gripe we had with Baranco after our "Almost $3,000 in warranty repairs" has been corrected to our satisfaction. The SM & writers, (Darryl, Harold, and TJ), are great. They are very professional, and have never failed to listen and properly write-up our discrepancies. |

I had a DVD Read Error. (See attached picture)
It was happening when first starting the vehicle and got more freqeuent. I decided to take a picture because I knew the dealer would not believe me because it was not repeatable at will. First they replaced the DVD Player. It never got the read error at vehicle startup. But then it started having the DVD Read Error while driving, as the maps were scrolling. Took it to another dealership and they ordered a DVD Disk since the last dealership did not. The second dealership said that replacing the disk was also part of the fix. It just so happens the disk I got was the 2.11b update. So I got a free update out of it. |

| I need someones help...the dealerships have no clue about anything! Everytime I turn my car on, a yellow screen appears that says...DVD disk read error...Please consult your dealer. Has anyone seen this before??? I have tried another disk and still the same message. Also, on the main screen, the half circle that is supposed to tell me the gas millage I get at a certain RPM...doesn't work. Any help with that would be great!!!:3: I am getting tired of this car already!!! |
