| This has happened twice so far. When shutting the X off, the key would not come out of the ignition. X would start and run fine, but the key would not come out. Tried to use the other remote to lock the doors, but with key in ignition, the doors won't lock. Doh! Dealer has had no other complaints they are aware of concerning this. |

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...did you remeber to shift the transmission into Park and set the Parking Brake before trying to shut down your MDX and removing the ignition key?:confused: |

| Yes. As a matter of fact, four different people tried to remove the key the first time it happened. Started the X, drove around the cul-de-sac, and parked. Tried to remove the key, and no luck. All of a sudden, it just came out. No problems for about six months. Strange. |

| Park brake shouldn't make this problem occured. But if the transmission gear is not in PARK (P) position, you will not able to remove the key. |

Such being the case, it looks like a trip to your Acura dealer is indicated. Good luck and keep us posted.:29: |

Yes, I have my new MDX 04 for just over a week now and it happened to me twice.
Each time I started, adjusted the steering wheel roation and shutoff
again, sometimes had to do it several times. |

are you in the last position and the key just isn't coming out, or are you still in the second to the last position on the ignition? (sorry, can't recall all the ignition positions right now, acc, lock, on, etc.)
because it might be the steering wheel lock mechanism. next time it happens, try cranking your steering wheel one way or the other before turning the key to get it out. |

What nhatman said...sometimes if your tires are in weird position the key won't come out. so just turn your steering wheel. happens to my '94 acura legend all the time.
