Bad, Mad Dealership - Click HERE for Original Thread

I purchased my X from Bloomington Acura in MN. Can not say that it was a pleasant experience. I posted my feelings on this site "Dealer Rating" and also wrote a letter to Acura about it.

It seems that my sales person, Bob Kusz [bkusz09@yahoo.com] recently dropped by this site and noticed that I did not give him a shining review.

He just called my wife at her work and left a nasty message to remove my comments and that he will be calling back to check that this was done.

Well Mr. Kusz, too bad. Take care of your customers, don't threaten them.

I'll make it easy on everyone so they don't have to mosey on over to dealer ratings to read your entry:

I bought my 2002 MDX from them online. I saw a great deal and called to neg a price. Better than anything I could get in Chicago. After agreeing to a price and getting the description from the sales person, (bob kusz [bkusz09@yahoo.com]). I was told that this car was so cherry and clean, it looked better than new. I figured he could not be far off since the car was a certified Acura pre-owned, coming from an Acura dealership, and only 17k miles. Once I got there, the car had scratches all over the interior dash and until the day before, it had a mobile phone glued to the dash. The previous owner decided to come back for it and damaged the dash. I had told the sales person a week ahead when I was coming out there and to have the car ready. I figured they would have the car parked out front, washed and ready. No. It looked like a family just got done eating a meal in here. It had scratches all over the glove compartment door as well. When I asked why I was not told about it, he told me it was not that bad and what did I expect for a used car. He offered me some free touch up paint for the paint chips. Wow, thanks. I did not want to buy the car and asked for my one way flight paid for. No. I asked how was I supposed to get back to Chicago, they did not care. In the end, a manager got involved and said that he would give me $300 for detailing of the car and to take car of the cosmetic damages. I bought the car because I knew it was still a good car and did not want to be out the $200 flight there and god knows how much back. The dealership could not even wash the car and would have to take it off the lot. I would not deal with this dealership ever. I filed a complaint to Acura HQ and was told that they will just file it with them. Thanks for nothing. I am happy with the car, but will visit the dealership here and hope that they can take car of the car the way it should be.

Is the phrase "go pound sand" recognized in MN?

and just where is HockeyPlayer when you need him . . . we all know what he would say . . . :3:

Let me get this right... he actually called your wife at work and instructed her to remove her comments?

If the answer to that question is yes then I will expect to see a written apology from Bob Kusz from Bloomington Acura in this thread very soon.

I really doubt Bloomington Acura management will back actions such as those demonstrated by Bob Kusz. I know I wouldn't, but then again I wouldn't misrepresent a car either.

If Bob did that to my girlfriend (I dont have a wife), I would pay Bob a little visit. :twak:

If he had anything to say, he should have contacted you. Sounds like he's a little biatch. Dont even sweat it man.

What a low thing to do, instead of confronting you he calls your wife. Real big person.:3:

What did your wife say to him? Will his wife be hearing from you? Please post some photos.

I have been contacted from my dealer regarding posts I have made on this board and my responses to the Acura survey.

All I can say is that I post what happened. If they are embarrassed by it, they should have done a better job.

I know that management at Bloomington Acura is now aware of this situation. Let's see how they handle it. I hope they decide to take the high road.

In the mean time I'm going to assume all of this was the fault of one bad apple at the dealership, and I hope we don't have a case of a true "bad" dealer on our hands here. Time will give us the answer to this question fairly soon.

The salesguy was lucky that she did not pick up the call. My wife is a tough cookie and would have let him have it. I know. :xnuts:

Oh yeah, no photos on this thread. :D

I think the best thing for me to do is go up there and put some Nair in his shampoo, or vinegar in his nose drops, or Tabasco in his Preparation H.

"Is the phrase "go pound sand" recognized in MN?"

For the record - yes it is recognized (yeah, I know it was rhetorical). Just not by Acura dealers. I have actually dealt with this dealership on the Subaru side. I am less than impressed with the sales side of the house. The service side actually seems OK.

I have never written anything on these forums but I found the need tonight. Always reading the great help that this site promotes can only please me. But I see stupidity in this post. Maybe you shouldn't have bought a used car without seeing it. Seems kind of ignorant to me, but what do I know. I used to be a used car salesman and it seemed everyone was out to get me. You should know that every car salesman is ....a salesman, and wants to up their product. If he told you it was a piece of crap would you have bought it...NO...you wouldn't have even looked at it or impulsively bought a one way ticket to minnesota from chicago. As a matter of fact, I have been to this dealership, bought a car from them and I use them for service every time...all I have to say is excellence & professionalism. They have been extremely courteous and friendly every time I've ever been there...regardless the problem. You did say you got a good deal on it and that you are happy with it. What else do you need? Be happy and don't put someones personal information on a forum to belittle them and their workplace, especially when you had been there for such a short period of time.

I had expected an apology from the salesman, but I think the above post must be from him or someone associated with his dealership.

I know of no other person that would think that it's OK for a salesman of any kind to misrepresent their product. I'd imagine this person has no clue why car salesmen get the reputation that they do if he believes it's OK to lie about the condition of a car.

This person also seems to believe that the buyer should be happy with their purchase no matter what, and should keep their mouth shut even if they're unahppy. You apparently have no right to unwelcome feedback.

I had really expected some action from Bloomington Acura management to straighten out this situation. Apparently that will not happen, and my opinion is that the problem is not just with one person. The dealership must have serious customer service problems.

As for the above post... I smell a RAT.

So what you are saying is that LYING and MISLEADING a customer is standard in the car sales business huh???(Like everyone on this earth doesn't realize this  ) Don't you think that you "poor" salesmen/women would not have people "out to get you" if you didn't friggen mislead or "up the product"?????? You said one word that sums up a car buying experience..."impulse". You forgot to say "emotional" as well and salesmen work that angle to a "T" and the customer "ALWAYS" and I do mean "ALWAYS" gets taken for something during a car buying experience. WHY?????????????????

I HATE DEALERS:3:

"But I see stupidity in this post. Maybe you shouldn't have bought a used car without seeing it. Seems kind of ignorant to me, but what do I know. I used to be a used car salesman and it seemed everyone was out to get me..."

Spoken like a typical lying car salesman. No body needs to wonder why car salesmen are the bottom. The least respected. Acura is included.

I HATE DEALERS.

The sad part of this thread is that Bloomington Acura could have taken the high road here. They could have made HUGE points with their customers and potential customers by making one public post here saying that "we made a mistake and we're sorry". It's not that hard to do.

Everybody makes mistakes. Fools stand behind their mistakes to the very end. Some of the very best and most successful people learn to turn their mistakes into positives. Bloomington Acura had the opportunity to turn a mistake by one of their salesepersons into a positive PR experience for their dealership, but they blew it. They are fools.

To the original poster... I hope you got a good solid vehicle despite the problems with the dealership. As for Bloomington Acura... they belong on the wall of shame.

As a side note... I made a person named Angi Miller who identified herself as the "Sales Manager" at Bloomington Acura aware of this problem and this thread on November 5th. They can't say they didn't know about it.

The the "salesperson" ip is attbi/comcast.So perhaps he/she posted it from home. Or if the place ( dealer ) is set up with a business center. Either way I also belive it is the same person. lurker my heineken. Notice this user joins one day AFTER this thread is started. But like other stated instead of just ante up and admit there were faults etc. They said too bad. WTH is that. Nice way to kill you business. Thank Goodness the dealer we got our MDX is great in sales and service so much so we are planing to get a either a TL or a TSX.

Too bad for the dealer. This is a great site to learn about dealers in your area, region, or wherever. As for things like defamation, libel, slander, etc., all I can say is that the truth will set you free of any legal liability that is! :)

I know that my salesperson posts on this board and does not identify himself as a dealer. Maybe I just have a poor attitude, but I always wonder how many of the members are unidentified dealers.

Boy, where do I start with this one. Hmm. Let's see...

"Maybe you shouldn't have bought a used car without seeing it. "

I was buying from an Acura dealership, not some small used car lot. Also, the salesman told me this car was perfect and also Acura Certified Pre-owned.

"Seems kind of ignorant to me, but what do I know. I used to be a used car salesman and it seemed everyone was out to get me."

I wonder why.

"I have been to this dealership, bought a car from them and I use them for service every time...all I have to say is excellence & professionalism."

They did not wash the car before I picked it up. The car was dirty from the inside. They did not have the facility to wash the car onsite. Not what I expected from the upper class model line of Honda. I have visited Lexus and they make a difference between that and Toyota dealership. That is what I expect when I pay $10-20k more for a car.

"Be happy and don't put someones personal information on a forum to belittle them and their workplace, especially when you had been there for such a short period of time."

Frankly, the gloves are off. He did not only call my wife instead of me (COWARD), but he called her at work and left a message and a threat to remove my comments off this site. I will not only publish his name and contact info:
Bob Kusz
bkusz09@yahoo.com
(952) 881-6200

But I will also file another complaint with Acura HQ. I will still give Bloomington management time to respond on this forum before I contact them directly to get their feedback. Csimo, you had made this posting aware to someone claiming to be management. Thanks. And thanks for the comments on this.

Hi, Bob!
DaleB
There are public records to show who owns the dealership outright.
... go for the gold.

Make sure the owner is aware you are going out of your way to ensure the dealership gets all the negative publicity it deserves. Got a consumer column in the local rag? Hit it!

"Amen"? Hope you mean it Bob, if you can not conjure up anything more constructive than sympathy for the pathetic slobs who know nothing about customer service. And that means every customer, not just customers willing to settle for less.

You know, they have 3 more MDXs on the lot. You can exchange it for another one in better condition now.

Funny, when the wife was picking up the X, she asked for another one for the same price and they said we would have to pay the difference and they stuck on sticker price for a new one.

When I bought this one, it had just under 17k and they agreed to $33k. They did knock off $250 for detailing and for me to take care of the problem.

My issue was the whole experience. Why did I have to go through with this after the fact. They knew 2 weeks in advance that I was coming to pick up the car. We called the day before to confirm again. They never told me there was a phone glued to the dash, which it sounded like the previous owner just came over the day before and ripped it off the dash. Could a tech not have done this and prevented damage? It was just too sloppy.:(
