OK, if I order a set with paypal (which appears the only option), do I get charged right away, or do I get charged if/when 10 orders are reached? If it's the former, what happens if 10 people don't order before the deadline? ... refund, or shipment at the full price?

Unfortunately we do not carry an H11 conversion kit at the moment. (Are you positive its an H11 bulb)?
In regards to the"shopping for dummies questions:":)
1) The group buy will be on until the end of this month. If the goal of 10 people is not reached we will be left with a decision of refunding your order or shipping it out. You would get charged however once you place your order. We will not charge you full price w/o your full consent. To be honest however we have never not reached the 10 person minimum as once people start ordering 10 people is quite easily met.

According to those with the '04, yes. H11 for the lows. The 04 is a projector housing and reportedly uses an H11 now. I've never heard of them nor seen them, myself. But thought I'd ask :) |

Just thinking out loud about my ZX motorcycle, and I have a couple questions...
Is it possible to get a dual-filiment H4 kit with a SINGLE bulb and ballast?
Do you think the bulb would handle the additional vibrations/shakes/jolts a stiffly sprung motorcycle will deliver?

As per your posts:
1) We used to carry a H4 high/low setup however we have gone back to carrying strictly the low beam setup as we found that the high/low mechanism got stuck quite often.
2) For those of you with a 2004 MDX, we will have an h11 conversion kit available within approx 1 month =).

There is a great thread on someone install the hids in their headlights and mounted the ballasts behind the fogs. I figure that could help you out. You will need to buy two HID kits though - one for fogs and one for headlights. FWIW, I think the fogs will be overkill. |

Should be pretty simple. Since they use the same 9006 bulb as the lows do, I'd think it would simply mean moving the bulbs to the fogs, and connecting the ballasts to the fog light socket(s). I don't have the electonics manual here on me, but I'm 99% sure there'd have to be a relay on that circuit already ... running two 9006 bulbs off that switch would be a bit much. |

| It would be alot safer to run them independently. Which means a ballast for each bulb which = alot of money. So the question is do you really need to drive with your fogs because the hid headlights are more than sufficient to light up the road. :) |

I guess I wasn't clear on my previous post.
I have ballasts for the 9006 bulbs for my lows right now. I'm planning to get the 04 projections so I would need to get another pair of ballast for the H11s. So my question was if I could run the two indepently at the same time. Thanks for answering my question RonH.
jswift2000 and X4ME have a good point about the hid lows being sufficient to light up the road. They are pretty damn bright. I guess another option is to sell my 9006 HIDs. |

HIDs in both the low beams and fogs might be a little to bright (especially since the MDX is not a car).
However, if you do decide that you want both, you would need to separate kits.

I was wondering if there are any adapters available that would allow me to use my current Philips Ballasts for the H11 bulbs? I'm assuming that the only difference would be the connectors for the bulbs. Is there any way that I can replace my current connector with a H11 connector? If so, do you sell the H11 connectors separately?

You would need H11 rebased bulbs which are currently still not ready.

If you originally had a XenonDepot kit then you would not need to get new connectors. Everything should match up. If your kit is not a XenonDepot kit than we can definitely get you the mating connectors when you order the bulbs. I will include them with your purchase of the bulbs.

Hello,
Unfortunately I do not. It will be a rebased HID bulb with a custom moulded H11 base on it. The focal point on the HID bulb will match the focal point on the H11 bulb to ensure proper beam patterns.

| Picked mine up today and installed them this evening. Talk about a night and day difference!! Overall, it took about an hour to complete. I installed using Zafer's instructions ... put the ballasts behind the fog lights. I'll have to tidy up the excess wire another evening or this weekend. |

I got the kit last week and installed it today. It took me about an hour and a half, but I spent about half an hour looking for the foglight screw that dropped when I removed it. I never did find it, but I had another screw, thankfully, that fit ok in it's place. The hardest part is mounting the ballasts, and I hope the zip ties hold ok. I'll have to keep an eye on it.
Anyway, it seems to work fine. I'm looking forward to tonight when I can see how it really looks.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the 4K has a blue film on the bulb. Does that film limit the amout of light emitted? If that is the case, would the 6K kit provide the same amount of light as it does not have a blue film? |

The 4k and 6k bulbs are completely clear. The 5k kit uses blue coated 4100k bulbs.

I can tell you they use real Philips(Hella) ballasts (OEM) and include a wiring harness with relays and inline fuses. visionsbulbs looks like it uses chinese/taiwanese ballasts and bulbs. You get what you pay for with a kit. Good luck! |
