Has anyone heard of a recent bulletin on the Delphi battery, which is installed in many MDXs? I had my battery replaced yesterday (see earlier post) and the dealer gave me no problems because I had a Delphi battery. He eluded to a recent bulletin on that type of battery but wasn't able to show me a copy or find his copy. I haven't seen a thing on that anywhere on this website, but it must be the case.
Anyone else heard anything on this? |

Ran it through the Acura Integrated Service System just to be sure. No such animal.
We've had zero problems with the Delco units. |

| Delphi battery, not Delco unit. I might be wrong, but I don't think these are the same thing or related in any way. |

| Delphi is Delco, it's the same company. I'm just an "old salt" in the car biz who stilll thinks of them as AC Delco. |

| Tim's right about Delco becoming Delphi -- and I'm another "old somethin' or other" (check out my title, right under my screen-name) with cars, just a LOT older than Tim! |

| So far I've only heard of one other person with the battery drain/low reserve capacity problem I mentioned. That guy had a Delphi battery and he found that it went dead after a day of towing. Haven't heard of any more problems from others yet, however. Surprising. I thought there would be lots of battery problems out there. Oh well, mine was replaced and I've had no further problems since. Guess my problem was isolated incident. |
