Tried searching the forum for help but couldn't find an answer to this precise question.
I did something when hauling something on the roof rack and it snapped off my antenna mast.
The base is intact and when I look into it, I see a asterisk-shaped piece with what appears to be the snapped off metal core of the mast in it.
I bought a replacement antenna mast on ebay but I can't figure out how to put it on.
Can anyone help!
Thanks! |

Thanks, that is very helpful. I think the broken off screw/post is exactly the problem.
Will have to see if I can figure out how to extract it from the base! |

You can buy a drill accessory at Sears that will allow you to remove broken pieces such as the mast. I have used it to remove stripped screws & even a fan shaft which broke off in the motor of my Centra Air.
Good Luck!! |

| You'll need to drill into the center of the broken off stub (1/16" - 3/32" drill), then us a small "Easy Out" to back out the old threads. |
