I just called Firestone and they have a lifetime tire balance/rotation and wheel alignment all for $195. Good at any Firestone Service Center.

Does anyone know how much it costs for each of these services from a dealer service center? I imagine the Firestone deal would pay for itself after 2 years. I figure since you pay upfront and can go as often as you like, I'll get the rotation/balance done every 7,500 and the alignment every 15,000.

Does anyone have any experience with the quality of Firestone Service Centers?

Lifetime of the tire, lifetime of the car, lifetime of Firestone, or your lifetime? (Gee, does that sound cynical?)

Tire rotation/balance is life of the tire.
Wheel alignment is life of the car.

I had a bad experience when they replaced some PS hoses on my car as they were an authorized shop for an extended warranty I had at the time. They left steering fluid all over the back of the engine to burn off as I drove away.
In the end, they made good on it, but I've never been back.
I found an excellent tire/brake/alignment shop that warranties their alignments for 10,000 miles, and balancing forever if you buy your tires there.
That's good enough for me for the quality of work they do, and match Costco tire prices. Been going there for 10 years now, it's a Bay Area chain, Wheel Works. I've been to 5 different stores over the years, (they have 40!) and got the same great treatment.

I don't know about Firestone, but I boutgh a lifetime alignment warranty at Sears back in 1991 for my wife's Celica. I really got my money's worth. The car has 310,000 miles on it and I've had an alignment done twice a year since I bought it. As for the balancing and rotation, if you purchased the tire at Sears they do the balance and rotation for the life of the tire. I don't take my car there for any other service though...

So, If you think that Firestone can handle the aligment and balance / rotation work, thenn I would get the lifetime alignment and only go to them for that work.

Sears has really come around, I can remember when the FTC was all over them over ripping customers off for auto repairs in the 80's. The same was true with the now defunct Monkey Wards.
Wards used to sell lifetime alignments, they would park your car in the corner of the garage after they ran their hand over the tread to make sure there were no serious issues.
I guess it proves in the long run the best will survive and others better change if they want to be compete. Consumer education has helped a lot in that area.
