| My 04X is has the optional towing package which includes the transmission cooler and power steering cooler. Are these 'extra' coolers always activated? Any switches to turn them on? What about when I am not towing, do they provide any extra benefits?:) |

| Do a search on tow package and you'll find a lot of very useful information. But the short answer is yes, they ar always activated. Any benefit is undetermined. Good luck. |

| Congratulations on your new X. Nothing to activate on your tow pack coolers. As for non-towing benefits, they don't hurt. |

OH TWINS - I did the install on mine, they increase the flowpath of the fluids in front of the radiator, and have cooling fins to help disperse heat. It's essentially like adding longer hoses to help keep things cool.
They probably help even under unstressed situations, and certainly help in mountain driving or under high temperature conditions (not that we have either of those here...) |
