I bought my '03 X w/RES. I was thinking of upgrading the RES....7in screen in front right in front of the front passenger seat and two headrest. I would like to keep my OEM DVD. 1)Can I do this? 2) Can I do this and play different things on different screens at the same time?

Does anyone think this is overboard? Thanks in advance.:)

Hi tonsaphun,
I am contemplating doing this as well. I plan to add 2 monitors to the front headrests. I found a product from malaysia that I think will work to integrate into the factory wiring for the dvd. It has a positive, negative and ground wire on one end and an RCA female end on the other. It's original use is in computer equipment.

I plan on taking two of these and splicing into the factory wiring from the DVD player to the DVD screen. I want to run the input to a video amp and run the outputs to the overhead and headrest monitors.

The monitors I plan on buying have two video inputs, so I am hoping I can run a PlayStation2 on at least one of the screens if I want.

I have the interface but may have to wait untill spring to start this. It is getting chilly here. Let me know if you want the info for the interface item from malaysia and I will post a link.

phin,

This is what I got out from what you said....So that means you can only play PS2 on the monitors that you hook to b/c you are going to hook the PS2 into one of the input of the monitor. i was thinking of a switchboard that will control all the screens. This way I can play PS2 on whichever screen I feel like that day. This is where I have questions if anyone has done this or if there is an easier way.
Peace out!!!

I believe they are video switches out there (check sounddomain.com, etronics.com) that will allow multiple inputs/outputs that you can switch between. Good luck and keep us posted.
