Here is a one of the passenger side pillar after 1 month of ownership.

It looks worse on the ebony (mine is really bad - 3 mos.)
What is the cause for this?? Is it from use, or factory defect?

Bet when you get it...you'll notice just a few dealer installed nicks from service dept, etc. Take a close look in the daylight on the driver's side. Obvious culprit is the metal buckle. Secondary culprit is the rough tooling mark on molded plastic portion of buckle. Real blame is cheap painted posts instead of color poured posts. Posts should be covered in a more resiliant material to facilitate a retracting seatbelt without mutilating the interior. Dumb Dumb Dumb.

{{{{We should be taking names of MDX and ACURA owners with this problem. If you haven't posted something already...check and post now so we can complain in mass.}}}}
I couldn't post these extra pictures because the server was constipated last night according to Daniel. However, all is well now so I will post a picture of the driver pillar nicks at closer distance than the previous one.

Here is one more of a different section of the driver pillar at almost the subatomic level!!
