I, for one, consider this movie one of the best movies of my generation. It took me about four viewings to really appreciate the message of the movie. Nice ending as well!!!
If you thought this movie was just about fighting, you didn't get the message of the movie!!!
David Fincher is one of the premiere directors of our era! Se7en also was spectacular!

I don't know about best of my generation. In the 90's, I'd say Usual Suspects and Shawshank Redemption were the two best.
But Fight Club was very good. BTW, what message did you get from the movie? |

Materialism....the "need" to "buy" things drives us in today's world. I view things differently these days....Sure, I could get a new video card for my computer, but, do I NEED it? No.
This movie enlightened me on the differences between a NEED and a WANT. Happiness is not based on what you have....but what you are at peace with (hence, to let things "slide"). |

| While Fight Club certainly isn't one of my favorite movies of all time, I will give it this - this movie is probably one of my most "surprisingly good" movies of all time. I really had low expectations for this movie and was shocked at how much I enjoyed. You can't say that about too many movies these days.... |
