The wonderful folks at Acura of Auburn were true to their word. They dropped off a shiney new TSX when they picked up my MDX in my driveway earlier this week, so I was never without wheels and not the least be inconvenienced by the service call.
I had several concerns, most of which were resolved. The windshield flecks were not -- they advised waiting until Spring. I think I want it fixed now, though, since the lower angle of the sun really makes it tough to see. They are ordering a windshield and will swap it out after the holidays.
They also helped me with my Muth mirrors at no charge. One of the mirrors had defective glass that Muth gladly replaced. The other had fallen out, possibly due to an installation error. Unfortunately, Muth sent the non-heated version to replace that one. Auburn put that one in pending receipt of the correct replacement and they said they would swap it when we do the windshield. The Muth folks have been very understanding and patient.
Acura could not duplicate the problem with the voice command of the NAV system dropping out from time to time. Any suggestions there?
They took apart the lower seat and added padding to the lower cross member, but I think that made the problem worse, so I'll probably have them take that back out.
The visors - Oy! They replaced the visors and clips, and they still do not hold. Gotta work on that some more.
Now for the good part - the TSX! Rocketship! That thing was a lot of fun to drive, especially with the auto-stick. A bit small for my tastes, and yes, the armrests in that car are also positioned poorly. The seats were far more comfy than in the X. I wonder if they come in saddle and would fit the X? |

I got a TSX from A of A also. I wasn't all that impressed. It was really small. I am only 6 Ft tall, but I kept thinking that I was in a 3/4 size car. The engine had no torque until revved high. And at 2000 miles it had several rattles already.
Also, do not under any circumstances let A of A wash your MDX. The last time mine was in I forgot to specify no wash. I now have several scratches on the plastic and chrome pieces. They still haven't fixed all my problems and I have to go in and have them try again as well as replace the scratched components. Overall I give A of A a 5 out of 5 for sales (Rick Voss was excellent and low pressure) but a 2 of 5 for service. |

Rick was my salesman, also, and we very much enjoyed the experience. They did wash my X, but I haven't looked it over yet. I will agree that only a few of the many items on my list were addressed, but with a loaner car given to me and no hassle of going out there, it really doesn't bother me that much. If I had to keep making the 35 minute trip I would be bothered.

| I didn't know that Acura of Auburn provided that loaner car service. I used to service my Integra out there until it just got to be too much of a drive. But having them come to you is top notch quality! I think I live too far away though--45 minutes. I hope you get everything resolved with your X!:) |
