Hi All:
___Yes, I do although I don’t know why :8:
___I finished up the X 3 or 4 days ago in the same kind of temps and the Corolla tonight. Z7 and some very warm water of course. Here in the Chicago area, this wash is good for a day or two but it gets rid of some/most of the salt, mud, and road debris that accumulates over a short period of time this time of year … They look good for about an hour or so afterwards if I do say so myself! Of course even a spit wash would look good in comparison to most vehicles in my locale right now.
___If you have some free time and the X isn’t looking all that great, “Just Do It is my motto!
___Muyy haandfs arrre verrydyf cold anind ietzs hjrardd too ttypspp riggght noew hoowweveerrt ;)
___Good Luck

I wash all year 'round, regardless of temps. I know I'm obsessed, but I really enjoy it, albeit with the playtex gloves, warm water, etc. You do get the "wtf" looks on occasion but I ignore them. The sad part is that I can't zaino in the winter because I can't get it to dry! Having 4 vehicles to clean can become quite a chore at times. Just did the X on saturday and after the initial numbing to the hands, it was barely noticeable. I guess when the water starts to freeze on the car is when it's too cold??

30! The villagers don their gaily-colored clothing and dance in the streets!
About the coldest I go is 22-24, below that and it's hard to get the water off before it freezes. But on sunny days it isn't too much of a problem. Tried it at 17 one time, it was a real disaster! Froze instantly.
The other key thing is not to wash in the driveway, where it makes an ice slick. Better to do it on the dirt road, where it just gets crunchy.
And remember, you can always warm up in the sauna later, doncha know? :) |

| I do. I remember one time when I was going to school in VA, I washed my Barbados Yellow CRX in the morning using buckets to rinse (the hose was frozen). Before I drove off, I had to knock the icicles forming on the vertical wiper blades raised for drying. My housemates thought I was nuts. |

I plan on hand washing her today - its gonna be 68F  (`course thats in the shade). BTW- TurtleWax has really nice 53" chenille mop, Target/WalMart/PepBoys etc. have it. It is really soft, much softer than 100% cotton or microfiber cloths. How about using that in cold weather? Can some of you experts check it out and comment please? It is the one on the right in the photo bellow - |

| I have an extra hose that I keep in the garage to prevent it from freezing. I wash (warm water) and rinse the X outside and pull into the garage turn on a space heater and dry off the X. I use zaino with the ZFX in the winter. My neighbors think I'm crazy but also compliment the looks. |

| I do as well and it's not a problem. Since I had my house built I have hot water in my garage, front porch, rear deck, and lower terrace. Use a mixer to mix the hot and cold and you have nice warm water for the car AND your hands. |
